Game of Thrones - House Tully - Glendullan - The Singleton

Glendullen is the first stop on the Game of Thrones tour of whiskys for Whisky and Warfare. The bottle spoke to me as a Minnesotan since we are the land of 10,000 lakes. The fish just seemed fitting to be the first blog post. As a fan of Game of Thrones, I had high expectations for the Whisky selection to be good and not falter like the last season of the show. The canister looks beautiful that the bottle comes in and the bottle feels like it could be on the show as well. They kept the bottle simple with the House Tully fish design on it which makes sense for it to be a Speyside

Visual

A golden look that only gets darker the more that is in the glass.

Smell

A welcoming soft vanilla and calm bourbon smell with a spike of spice cloves finish

Taste

The beautiful taste of fresh apples followed by a hit of cinnamon clove punch

Finish

Ends with an orange tang and cherry finish after the final spike of spice.

Gamer Paring

This whiskey is for the person who is always kind and enjoys the fruits of their labor in games. Though when push comes to shove, they will fight back with a vengeance for a brief moment to make sure you know they are their and not messing around. To only go back to the simple pleasures. They may enjoy games like Minecraft or ARK where they can do their own thing and enjoy the simple things the game offers. If they get attacked, they will rain down arrows of death to their enemies to prove a point so that they can go back to the simple things.

Personal Rating

Note: This is my personal rating and that it should not reflect your rating and preference. All Whisk(e)y's are beautiful and everyone has an opinion on them. You have different tastes and preferences then I do. Please take this section with a grain of salt as I usually prefer highland scotch and bourbon whisk(e)y over others

6.5/10 - I must admit that Speysides are a close cousins to the flavors and tastes I enjoy in whiskey. This has a great flavor in the start and finish but the hard spike of spice is what turns me personally away.
